I stayed at the Vivanta holiday village recently (early December 2014), and while most of my stay there was satisfactory - the room was beautifully cared for, the surroundings and food, everything else was perfect - some of the so called "customer service" from the management and the security leaves a lot to be desired.

I had a most horrible experience while there - specifically, a man entered my room, threatened me, physically attacked me, and made away with an amount of money.
This experience has left me extremely shaken, and upset, as anyone might imagine.

After receiving little real help from the hotel at the time of incident, I have been in repeated contact with them in hopes of a better resolution of the situation, and have had less than helpful replies from the general manager. They have been extremely dismissive, and even rude, in dealing with me.

This is not the kind of service or security I expect form such a highly rated hotel.

I could not in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone, until such problems with the managements service, and the security, are properly resolved.
